A farm worker is facing a charge of threatening to kill after an Armed Offenders Squad callout to a farm in the Balclutha area last night.
Balclutha and Clinton police were called out to the Kaiwera property about 10.50pm, supported by the Dunedin Armed Offenders Squad.
A 21-year-old man, who lived on the farm, was apprehended early this morning.
Several firearms were seized from the address including a shotgun and a high-powered rifle.
The man is facing a threatening to kill charge and is due to appear in the Dunedin District Court today, following threats made toward the owner of the property and the police.
