Sheepdog Gemma has done it again.

Waitahuna dog triallist Roger Tweed and his dog have claimed the South Island straight huntaway title for the second time.

The South Island sheep dog trial championships were held this week at Greenvale, near Gore, with triallists from throughout New Zealand competing.

Mr Tweed, who has been trialling for more than 30 years, won the same title with Gemma in 2012.

Robin McKenzie and Ned, from Clinton, won the zigzag huntaway title, while the long head and short head and yard were both won by Steve Murphy and Kei, from Whangamomona.
