Performing for royalty did not faze two Halfmoon Bay School pupils at the school's presentation for Prince Harry yesterday.

Angus Kenny and George Conner acted as comperes for the event in a classroom at the school, in front of the prince, Southland Mayor Gary Tong, and a national and international media contingent bristling with still and television cameras that filled the room.

Of speaking in public, George said he was ''OK with it''.

However, doing that job in front of the prince was ''quite special''.

''I was quite nervous,'' Angus said.

The job was made easier by a prince who was ''really, really nice''.

''He's just so casual,'' George agreed.
