Police have released the name of the 23-year-old man who died when his vehicle crashed into a power pole near Invercargill yesterday.
He was Sootagaoaiga (Sam) Lavea, of Invercargill.
The crash happened about 1.50pm, on the Woodlands-Invercargill highway near Kennington Roslyn Bush Rd.
A police media spokeswoman said a vehicle had hit a power pole and was the only vehicle involved.
Police are continuing their investigation into the crash.
