The owner of an unusual craft moored on Lake Wanaka for the past few months is remaining tight-lipped about his plans.
The man, who gave his name only as James, ran the pontoon boat, covered by a large tent-like PVC awning, around Roys Bay early yesterday in near-zero temperatures.
It is understood the craft is likely to provide a passenger service for tourists in the summer.
