Technique Training Restaurant at Otago Polytechnic in Dunedin is the training ground for future chefs, maitre d's and wine and cocktail specialists.

Indeed, a lot of talented hospitality workers began their careers here.

Technique is run by hospitality students who have a passion for everything to do with food and service. This is where they hone their skills and treat Dunedin diners to amazing food, drinks and service.

Variety is the spice of life, as they say, and a feature of Technique Training Restaurant is that the menu changes frequently, as the students learn about new areas of cuisine. We host a wide range of themed events during the year. Examples are Mid Winter Christmas dinners, Curry in a Hurry lunches and International themed dinners.

We support the use of fresh produce from our local suppliers and campus gardens and our staff and students are committed to using sustainable practices.

Our service styles and restaurant "personality" varies as often as the menus to experience the ever changing face of hospitality.
