Cardrona Alpine Resort skiers will have to pay an extra $15
this year for an "early bird" adult season pass, and other
ski resort patrons face prices hikes of $70 and $90.
A Cardrona adult early bird season pass will cost $585, child
passes $135, student passes $520 and veteran passes $260.
Loyalty discounts of between $5 and $20 are also available to
2010 pass holders.
Last week, Treble Cone announced its early bird prices, with
an adult season pass costing $1069, an increase of $70.
NZSki also announced its early prices, which vary depending
on the number of skifields skiers wish to visit.
The adult season pass for Coronet Peak and the Remarkables
has gone up $90 to $889.
However, the three-mountain pass (which includes Mt Hutt in
Canterbury) stays the same at $999, and a Remarkables-only
pass is also unchanged from last year at $499.
Cardrona sales and marketing manager Nadia Ellis yesterday
said the 2011 prices remained good value, given significant
investments in facilities and infrastructure.
Contractors were making "excellent progress" on phase two of
the Valley View development, she said.
A new snow-making system is being installed to service
