New Zealand runner Kimberley Smith finished fourth in a
quality 5000m field at the New York Grand Prix athletics meet
today (NZT).
Smith clocked 15 minutes 26.00 seconds but was well behind
the leading three runners from Africa.
It was won by Linet Masai of Kenya in 14min 35.39sec, who was
followed by Ethiopians Tirunesh Dibaba and Genzebe Dibaba.
The race came just five days after Smith won a prestigious
10km road race in London.
