Cedric Jackson
New Zealand Breaker Cedric Jackson has won another award
after being named player of the week for round 11 of the NBL
Championship.
Jackson becomes the first player to have won the weekly award
three times in season 2012/13, having previously taken player
of the week in rounds six and nine. He was named player of
the month for November.
The American guard scored 32 points and added eight assists,
five rebounds and three steals in yet another superb
all-round performance as the Breakers scored a home 97-76
victory over the Cairns Taipans on Thursday night.
Jackson made 11 of 13 shots from the field at 85 per cent,
including two of three three-pointers, and eight of 12 free
throws.
He scored 16 points in the second quarter alone to almost
single-handedly set up the Breakers' ninth win of the season
and launch the defending two-time NBL champions back to the
top of the ladder.
