The Daniels sisters - Nina and Lisa - will not make any
decision about their future until after next month's national
championships in Christchurch.
"We are not sure yet. We are still deciding," Nina said on
the sisters' return to Dunedin yesterday.
"We are kind of on the edge at the moment."
They have spent a lot of time training overseas in Canada
over the last few years and were looking forward to being
home in Dunedin with their family for the next few months.
The Daniels sisters finished 23rd in the synchronised
swimming duet in their first Olympic Games in Beijing.
"It was an amazing experience for us," Nina said.
"It is going to be so memorable. It couldn't have gone any
better."
Lisa enjoyed being part of the team in Beijing.
"There was an amazing atmosphere.
"It was one team one spirit and this showed out in all the
performances," she said.
"Being part of a team like this makes you want to keep going.
"It's such an amazing feeling to represent the country.
"That makes you want to strive for more."
The sisters have been competing together in synchronised
swimming for the last eight years and it has taken them
around the world.
They won the bronze medals at the Commonwealth Games in
Melbourne in 2006 and are tempted to stay in the sport to
compete at New Delhi in 2010.
"We are tempted to try to do better at the next one, but we
haven't thought that far ahead yet," Nina said.
The sisters were the fourth Commonwealth team to finish in
Beijing behind Canada, Great Britain and Australia.
The Daniels sisters have dominated synchronised swimming in
New Zealand since first winning the duet event together in
2000.
