Squash double medallist Joelle King will carry the New
Zealand flag into the Commonwealth Games closing ceremony in
New Delhi tonight.
King, who won a women's doubles gold and mixed doubles silver
to cap a marathon campaign last night, ended the Games as New
Zealand's most successful athlete.
A team spokesperson said the 22-year-old was "overwhelmed"
when chef de mission Dave Currie announced her duty at a New
Zealand team function inside the athletes' village last
night.
