New Zealand lawn bowler Jo Edwards won gold in the women's singles match in Glasgow this morning.
Edwards overcame England's Natalie Melmore 21-15 to defend the gold medal she won in Delhi four years ago.
Edwards had been 17-4 up at one point, but Melmore staged a valiant comeback to get herself back into the match.
But Edwards was able to hold her nerve and close out the contest.
It was New Zealand's second lawn bowls medal of the day, with the women's four team having earlier taken bronze in a third-place playoff against Malaysia.
South Africa's Collen Piketh won the bronze match against Northern Ireland's Catherine McMillen.
