Cricket: McCullum's side into final

Otago and Black Caps all-rounder Nathan McCullum has helped the Sydney Sixers reach the final of the Australian domestic twenty/20 competition.

The Sixers posted 153 for six against the Hobart Hurricanes at Bellerive Oval on Sunday night.

McCullum picked up the crucial wicket of Owais Shah to help his side restrict the Hurricanes to 146 for seven.

The Sixers will meet the Perth Scorchers in the January 28 final, which will be played at the Waca. Regardless of the outcome, both sides have done enough to qualify for the lucrative Champions League in India later this year.

McCullum is unlikely to play in the final as Otago has a one-day game against Northern Districts in Hamilton on January 29.
