Night watchman Scott Kuggeleijn blasted his maiden
first-class hundred to guide Wellington to an emphatic
seven-wicket victory over Central Districts in their Plunket
Shield outing at Karori Park today.
Wellington began the morning on 53-3 in pursuit of 247 for
victory and Kuggeleijn, batting at No 5, finished unbeaten on
142 as he slugged 15 fours and five sixes, while opener
Michael Papps anchored the chase at the other end.
Papps was unbeaten on 77 as Wellington reached 248-3 and
wrapped up the game in the second session on day four.
