Dunedin senior cricket resumed on Saturday with teams showing
off their ability in the shorter form of the game.
Four twenty/20 matches were held, with four clubs playing two
matches each.
Green Island chased down 114 for victory against Kaikorai in
the morning, before Ben Patston (61) and Jamie Munro (37)
helped the team reach 192 for seven, to beat Albion (120 for
six) by 72 runs in the afternoon.
Despite an impressive batting display by Tim Ford (57),
Albion's total of 124 for four was not enough to prevent
North East Valley chasing down the total, Lance Taylor the
pick of NEV's batsmen, with 48.
North East Valley batsman Cameron Beel then hit 54 to help
his side to 165 for nine in the afternoon, before dismissing
Kaikorai for 145, to win by 20 runs.
