Afghanistan have taken advantage of helpful conditions to restrict Scotland to a score of 210 in their World Cup match in Dunedin today.

After winning the toss, Afghanistan captain Mohammad Nabi inserted the Scots, saying his side wanted to put pressure on early.

His bowlers enjoyed the swinging conditions and chipped out wickets regularly, not allowing any of the Scottish batsmen to post a score of substance.

Several of the Scots reached double figures but the highest score was 31, made by both Matt Machan and Majid Haq.

For Afghanistan, Shapoor Zadran took 4-38 and Dawlat Zadran 3-29.
