Otago chased down Wellington's score of 195 in 48 overs, with 53 runs from Suzie Bates and 60 from Polly Inglis setting the foundations for the win.
The Sparks bowled their opponents out in 48.2 overs, with Suzie Bates and Laura Marsh each picking up three wickets and Morna Nielsen and Georgia Clarke each claiming two.
Burns took three wickets for the Blaze, including those of Inglis and Marsh, while Deanna Doughty claimed two and Emma Fullbrook was economical with one for 23.
