Grant Elliott has retired from one-day internationals the New Zealand Herald reported.

The 37-year-old all rounder played 83 ODI's for New Zealand, scoring 1976 runs at an average of 34.06 and taking 39 wickets at an average of 30.23.

Arguably his most iconic moment was hitting a match-winning six at the end of the 2015 World Cup semifinal against his native South Africa at Eden Park, sending the crowd into euphoria. He then went to console Dale Steyn, making for one of the iconic pictures of the tournament.

Elliot has not made a decision on whether he will continue playing Twenty20 internationals.
