Caversham will require full concentration when it resumes
Footballsouth Premier League duties today and hosts
third-placed Mosgiel at Tonga Park.
The Chatham Cup semifinalist has been in top form this
season, with attacking flair across the park.
Caversham will be without attacking midfielder Robbie Deeley,
who collected his fifth yellow card last weekend, and the
club has also farewelled American import Taylor Powers, who
returned to his college studies during the week.
The visiting Mosgiel team will rely on the guile and
leadership of player-coach Mike McGarry, who has a fully fit
team available.
McGarry said his settled team had nothing to lose and would
attack with a positive mindset.
His team will need to limit the penetrating passes and quick
ball movement on which Caversham thrives.
League leader Dunedin Technical should have too much space
and composure on the large Sunnyvale pitch to be troubled by
an improving Green Island side.
Technical marksman Aaron Burgess in irrepressible form and
sure to be a handful.
At Ellis Park, Roslyn-Wakari hosts Northern in what should be
a close game.
University will play Grants Braes at the Caledonian Ground,
with both teams eyeing three points, and Spirit will head to
Queenstown for a mid-table clash with Rovers.
