Two late goals in two minutes from Sergi Roberto and Luis Suarez gave reigning champions Barcelona a dramatic 2-1 win over Bayer Leverkusen in the Champions League.

Trailing 1-0 at the Nou Camp with 10 minutes to go, Sergi poked in a rebound from close range, and moments later Suarez produced a fine finish for the winner, sweeping home first-time from just inside the area.

Kyriakos Papadopoulos had put the German side ahead after 22 minutes from a corner, with Barca keeper Marc-Andre Ter Stegen beaten in the air.

For reigning champions Barca, who were without their injured talisman Lionel Messi, it was a frustrating game of missed chances until their pressure told.

Big win for Bayern Munich

Bayern Munich striker Robert Lewandowski continued his remarkable scoring run with a hat-trick in a 5-0 thrashing of Dinamo Zagreb to snap the Croats' 45-game unbeaten run and put the German champions in control of their group.

In an explosive first half in which Bayern were 4-0 up inside half an hour, Lewandowski, who has notched a staggering 10 goals in their last three matches, including five in nine minutes against VfL Wolfsburg, netted twice in seven minutes after Brazilian Diego Costa had put Bayern ahead.

Mario Goetze added his second of the campaign before Poland captain Lewandowski chipped keeper Eduardo in the 55th minute for his third goal as Bayern moved to a maximum six points from two Group F matches.

Best start for Zenit

Oleg Shatov's winner and a fine performance from Hulk helped Zenit St Petersburg beat a spirited Ghent 2-1.

The Group H win means Andre Villas-Boas' side have a maximum six points from their first two games, their best start in the competition.

Artem Dzyuba gave the hosts the lead after 35 minutes from a Hulk cross but the Belgian side drew level 10 minutes into the second half with a Thomas Matton volley before the Brazilian laid on the winner for Shatov in the 67th.

Zenit found the going difficult against an organized Ghent side, who were more than comfortable on the ball in the opening stages.

Hulk was once again in the thick of things as his second assist helped restore the reigning Russian champions' lead in the 67th minute.

The Brazilian's fine pass put Shatov through on the left of the area and the 25-year-old had time to take a touch before lifting the ball over Sels to make it 2-1.

Roma endure torrid night in loss

Belarus champions BATE Borisov shocked injury-hit AS Roma with an entertaining 3-2 home win in their Group E clash.

BATE went 3-0 up in the first 30 minutes through Ihar Stasevich and two from Filip Mladenovic.

The Serie A club hit back after the break and reduced the deficit with strikes from Gervinho, after 66 minutes, and Vasilis Torisidis eight minutes from time.

Roma's Alessandro Florenzi also hit the crossbar late on but BATE held out to move on to three points in Group E.

Roma are bottom of the section with one.

Lyon's chances take knock with loss

Olympique Lyonnais' chances of reaching the knockout phase already look in jeopardy after slumping to a 1-0 home defeat by Valencia in their second game.

Lyon, who drew at Ghent in their opening game, are bottom of Group H after Sofiane Feghouli gave Valencia, who are second on three points, a victory against the run of play.

At the end of a swift counter attack, Feghouli scored the only goal with an 18-metre missile that went under the bar.

Dynamo Kiev win comfortably

Dynamo Kiev secured a comfortable 2-0 victory at Maccabi Tel Aviv as a goal in each half from Andriy Yarmolenko and Junior Moraes helped them record their first win in Champions League Group G.

The Israelis were undone by the pace and strength of their opponents, who scored early and never looked back despite Maccabi's desperate efforts to claw a way back.

Yarmolenko quickly set the visitors on their way when in the fourth minute, he ran behind the Maccabi defence to latch on to a through ball from Derlis Gonzalez and slotted home easily.

Maccabi took time to shake off the jitters that had been very apparent when they lost 4-0 to Chelsea in their first group game in London two weeks ago and they started to gain in confidence as Dynamo eased off.

Yet the Israelis were unable to make their possession tell and Moraes made it 2-0 in the 50th minute with a powerful shot from the edge of the area as Gonzalez again provided the assist after a surging run from the left.

That strike not only put the result beyond doubt but very clearly outlined the differences between the two sides, with Maccabi desperately trying to match the pace of their far more experienced opponents.
