An ailing Greg Norman has pulled out of the Australian PGA Championship at Coolum today after playing just two holes.

Tournament officials confirmed Norman was suffering from suspected food poisoning.

Making a rare tournament appearance, the 57-year-old former world No.1 made two bogeys before withdrawing from the tournament.

Norman had told reporters yesterday he was in very good shape and was going out to play a game of tennis on the tournament eve at the Coolum resort.
