holes - smashing the previous record which stood at seven

The 15-year-old, who won the New Zealand Open last week,
started with a bogey on the 10th hole before recording four
straight birdies and an eagle. She then hit a second bogey
before a birdie-birdie finish to her first nine holes.

the par 5 with a wedge shot from 75m out on the fairway.
World number one Yani Tseng, who is playing in Ko's group,
