The Southland women's team retained the Salisbury Cup with an
emphatic win over Otago in the annual match on the Otatara
course in Invercargill on Sunday.
Lydia Ko fell short of claiming another LPGA Tour title but
she finished third at the Kia Classic in California today.
Newcomer Island Park posted its first win in the metropolitan
men's senior A pennant series, beating Taieri 4.5 1.5 on the
Island Park course yesterday morning.
The opening round of the metropolitan senior A pennant series
went to script as teams from Balmacewen and St Clair recorded
victories to begin their campaign.
Expect the New Zealand Open to stay in Arrowtown but take on
more of a Japanese flavour in future years.
