Borren (Otago), Sungwoo Han (Queenstown) and Scott Hellier
(Gore) have all qualified to compete in the next stage of
qualifying for the New Zealand Open after heading a 14-strong
field in windy conditions at Chisholm Park yesterday.
A handful of hopefuls will tee off at Chisholm Park this
morning with the aim of qualifying for the New Zealand Open
at The Hills and Millbrook in March.
Otago golf can only lament the departure of James Anstiss
(Queenstown) after he romped to a five-shot win in the Otago
men's championship over 72 holes at Balmacewen during the
Otago's top golfers will be playing for pride and the title
when they tee off in the province's strokeplay championships
at Balmacewen this weekend.
Some of the world's best cricketers of the past 30 years will
descend on Queenstown in March to play in the New Zealand
All three Kiwis failed to make the cut following the second
round of the Sony Open on the PGA Tour in Hawaii.
