Lydia Ko is still a chance to claim her first major title despite an even-par 72 in today's Women's British Open third round.

In reasonably tough conditions for scoring at the Turnberry course, Ko's even-par round saw her slip back slightly into a tie for fifth, but crucially - only three shots off the pace.

After firing a first-round 66, Ko has struggled to find the magic in her next two rounds, with today's up-and-down effort stalling her charge.

Ko started with a double bogey on the first hole, and was two-over for the day through 13 holes before birdieing 15 and 17 to keep herself in contention going into the final day.

It's a lesser-known Ko who tops the leaderboard however - Korea's Jin-Young Ko, who shot a three-under 69 to be at eight-under for the tournament alongside Taiwan's Teresa Lu.

They are being chased by the big names in women's golf, with Norway's Suzann Petterson just a shot behind. Japan's Mika Miyazato is at six-under, while World number one Inbee Park sits alongside Ko and Australian Minjee Lee at five-under.

Ko's best finish at a major championship is a tie for second at the Evian Championship in 2013.
