Rugby league: Whalers' Misky to debut for Bulls

Otago Whalers standout and hooker Isaac Misky will debut for the Canterbury Bulls in Christchurch this weekend.

Misky had an impressive season for the Whalers and has won a call up to the Bulls, which is leading the national premier competition after a couple of rounds.

The Bulls will be taking on the Central Vipers this weekend and are coming off a convincing win over the Akarana Falcons last weekend.

The Bulls side represents the whole of the South Island, which enables players to be picked from outside the Christchurch club competition.

Misky, a student at the University of Otago, can play many different positions but has been selected as a hooker for the Bulls.

Misky plays his club league for South Pacific Raiders in the Dunedin competition.

He played last year for the New Zealand Universities and Tertiary Students team that played in the curtain raiser to the test between the Kiwis and Great Britain in Dunedin.
