Dunedin motorcycle rider Michael Lee finished second-equal in
the Burt Munro street races in Wyndham on Sunday.
Lee, driving a Kawasaki 600, was in the top three of the four
races contested. The title was taken by Ryan Hampton, of
Christchurch, who won all four races.
Lee bagged two second places and two thirds to share second
place with Seth Devereux, from Christchurch, in the open
Lee said the tight Wyndham circuit made for some tough racing
and Hampton, riding a 1000cc vehicle, had the power on the
straights to get away.
Hampton could be caught on the corners, Lee said, but was too

hard going against younger and better-resourced riders.
