The talented 3yr-old filly Jumpforjoy won a heat at the Ascot
Park trials yesterday.
Jumpforjoy has been freshened by trainer Clark Barron since
her last-start success at Wyndham in November.
She has had three wins and three seconds in six starts.
She won in a 1.55.8 mile rate at Forbury Park in October two
starts back.
Onedin Crusader, who has not raced since November 11, was
successful at the Washdyke trials yesterday.
Onedin Crusader (20m) beat Rangataua Ray (30m) by a nose over
2600m, the last 800m in 58.3, the final 400m in 27.1.
A 5yr-old trained by John Hay, Onedin Crusader has recorded
seven wins and nine placings from 31 starts.
Rangataua Ray was a last-start winner at Washdyke in October.
The 6yr-old has had 10 wins and 16 placings from 43 starts.
The John McInerney kennels won nine of the 12 races at the
Wanganui greyhound meeting yesterday.
