Supercharged clears the second hurdle in the straight on the first circuit, ahead of Jachil in the Noel Welsh Memorial hurdle at Wingatui yesterday.

The 9yr-old put on a tidy front-running display other than one small mistake at the penultimate fence, but trainer Ross Beckett was just happy to get round without bad luck after he was cleaned up at Timaru two weeks ago.

''He settled good the other day and it was just bad luck those horses fell in front of him,'' he said.

Supercharged will probably race at Timaru in two weeks' time before heading to the Grand National carnival at Riccarton in the first week of August.
