Racing: Seduce Me super chance

Seduce Me is an enticing prospect in the first race at Ascot Park today, but beware of a race rival waltzing into contention in the home straight.

The Geoff and Jude Knight-trained Seduce Me has drawn barrier 1 in the c0 fillies and mares mobile pace.

With two second placings under her belt - both to the Bruce Negus-trained filly Em Ay - she looks like the one to beat.

The only problem is Waltzing Queen will be ready to pounce, after drawing right behind Seduce Me.

''I think this is her race to win,'' Geoff Knight said.

''Waltzing Queen on her back is the hardest to beat, but with the way she's been working and the progress she's made, she should be going very close."

Knight said the Ohoka Arizona filly has been measuring up to the stable's other smart 3yr-old.

''She's been working with Zenmach and going really nice.''

Seduce Me's last race was at Winton on September 6, and Knight said the filly had been kept up to the mark since then.

''She's ready to go, but if she was to win tomorrow, she would need to make the step up.

''She's got better and better every time we've gone out with her - I think there's a bit of improvement in her yet but it will be race rival improvement.''

Seduce Me's driver, Matthew Williamson, will take full advantage of the barrier draw and it is up to his older brother, Nathan Williamson, who drives Waltzing Queen, to see whether his mare has enough zip to pass Seduce Me in the run home.

''It will be whoever is the best because they're going to get the best trips, aren't they?''

The Knights prepare three other runners today.

Thinking Smart should be competitive in race 3, a c0 claimers mobile pace, and Onedin Onyx (race 7) will ''need another blowout'' in a smart c2 and faster field.

Moa Bones, could be a sneaky chance in race 5, a c0-c2 trot, after finishing seventh at Forbury Park last week.

''She trotted really good and John Dunn just looked after her because she hadn't been in work and we really didn't want to race her, but there hadn't been any trials,'' Knight said.

''She should be really competitive in that race.''
