Leeston trainers Terry and Glenys Chmiel had to travel offshore for their first group 1 win, but they won't be complaining after Nek Time's Queensland Oaks win at Albion Park on Saturday night.
The Chmiels have enjoyed a wonderful season with the 3yr-old filly, who had already claimed the Southland and Gold Coast Oaks before Saturday's front-running effort.
The couple have been training together since the 2008-09 season.
Before that, Terry Chmiel had trained on his own account, and Glenys Chmiel had been in a partnership with her late father, Bryce Buchanan.
Albion Park was not quite as profitable for Christen Me, who was only able to finish second to an outstanding Hectorjayjay in the Sunshine Sprint despite enjoying a soft run to the passing lane.
