Blacks A Fake advanced his case for a fourth Interdominion
title when he recorded the fastest time of the four heat
winners at Newcastle on Saturday night.
The 9yr-old returned a track record 1.55.3 rate for the 2030m
(mobile) when he outfinished pacemaker Mr Feelgood after
racing in the open.
Monkey King ran the next-fastest rate of 1.56.2 when he led
in his heat.
His trainer, Brendon Hill, also has Baileys Dream in the $A1
million final at Menangle next Sunday.
Baileys Dream was drawn in a ballot with Sammy Maguire after
they both amassed 18 points.
Baileys Dream will be driven by Todd Mitchell.
