Rugby: Graham still unable to name Otago coaches

The naming of the new coaches for the Otago team is becoming more drawn out than a Kardashian wedding.

Otago Rugby Football Union chairman Wayne Graham said yesterday he was not in a position to confirm the names of the new coaches.

Tony Brown and Phil Young were expected to be named as the coaching team on Tuesday but the union has still not revealed the duo.

Graham said there was nothing sinister in not naming the coaches. It was just about getting everything in line and getting the contracts signed.

Until that was done, he would not name the coaches.

With Brown in Japan and with agents and lawyers involved, the process was becoming drawn out. Brown was expected to be named head coach, with Young his assistant.
