Rugby: Crockett returns for Canterbury

Canterbury coach Tabai Matson has made three changes to his team to play Waikato in their ITM Cup clash on Sunday afternoon.

Wyatt Crockett has been released by the All Blacks to put on the No 1 red and black jersey, while Codie Taylor and Ben Funnell are rotating so that Taylor starts at hooker this week and Funnell will start from the bench.

Johnny McNicholl has returned from injury to play on the left wing for Canterbury who are fourth in the Premiership, one spot ahead of Waikato.


Canterbury: Tom Taylor, Adam Whitelock, Robbie Fruean, Ryan Crotty, Johnny McNicholl, Tyler Bleyendaal, Andy Ellis, Nasi Manu, Matt Todd, George Whitelock (captain), Dominic Bird, Luke Katene, Nepo Laulala, Codie Taylor, Wyatt Crockett. Reserves: Ben Funnell, Paea Fa'anunu, Joel Everson, Luke Whitelock, Willi Heinz, Telusa Veainu, Sam Monaghan.
