The Blues will wear a special one-off jersey against the
Crusaders next week to raise funds for Men's Health Trust New
Zealand.
The 22 jerseys for the Blues' home match of the season at
Eden Park on Friday, March 1 will be embroidered to mark the
special occasion and worn only once.
The jerseys are based on a Harlequins style pattern and
feature the colours of the Auckland, North Harbour and
Northland provincial unions. The Men's Health Trust NZ logo
will feature on the collar.
Blues head coach Sir John Kirwan said it's a fitting way to
begin the Blues 2013 campaign on home ground.
"This jersey signifies many things. A new era for this team;
our first home game for the year against our respected foes
and a very special jersey to raise funds for a great cause."
Kirwan will also host a fundraising evening at Eden Park on
Wednesday, February 27. Several jerseys will be auctioned on
the night.
