Hurricanes coaches Mark Hammett and Alama Ieremia have named an unchanged line-up to meet the Chiefs in Wellington on Friday night.

After the Hurricanes brushed past the Cheetahs 39-34 in Bloemfontein during the weekend, they will again be skippered by Victor Vito as Conrad Smith remains on the sidelines following his head knock against the Bulls a week and a half ago.

Reynold Lee-Lo will again wear the No 13 jersey for the Hurricanes and despite being named in the All Blacks' wider training squad yesterday (tues), Brad Shields and Jeffery Toomaga-Allen will both play from the bench.

The Hurricanes, who are fourth in the New Zealand conference and ninth overall, need to win to keep their season alive, while the Chiefs are sitting pretty in pole position in the New Zealand conference and second overall.

Hurricanes blindside Faifili Levave, who has also played for the Chiefs during his career, will mark his 50th game for the Hurricanes this week.

Hurricanes: Andre Taylor, Alapati Leiua, Reynold Lee-Lo, Tim Bateman, Julian Savea, Beauden Barrett, TJ Perenara; Victor Vito (captain), Jack Lam, Faifili Levave, Jason Eaton, Jeremy Thrush, Ben May, Ash Dixon, Ben Franks. Reserves: Reggie Goodes, Jeffery Toomaga-Allen, James Broadhurst, Brad Shields, Chris Smylie, Tusi Pisi, James Marshall
