Rugby: Tickets to All Blacks-England test in Dunedin on sale to select few

Tickets for the test between the All Blacks and England at Forsyth Barr Stadium will today go on sale for a select few.

But others in the South will not have to wait long to get their hands on tickets.

The test is scheduled for June 14 and is highly anticipated.

The All Blacks are looking to maintain their unbeaten run, while England views this three-match series as the start of their preparation for next year's World Cup.

The match will be the second in the three-test series. The first is to be played in Auckland on June 7, and the final test is scheduled for Hamilton.

Tickets for the Dunedin test will be available to the rugby community today. These are volunteers involved in amateur rugby, such as coaches and referees.

The successful ''South of the Waitaki River'' promotion is again being run, but it will have a limited window.

That promotion will start at 9am on April 2, and will last until April 7, when tickets will go on public sale to anyone in New Zealand.

To qualify for the scheme, ticket buyers must live south of the Waitaki and use the promotional code ''Otago2014''.

The match will be the third test the All Blacks have played at the venue, while England will play its fourth game at the stadium. The English played three games at the stadium at the 2011 World Cup.

Ticket prices start at $80 ($30 for children) and go through to $149. That does not include service charges.

Both previous All Blacks tests at the stadium - against the Springboks in 2012, and the Wallabies last year - sold out, and officials are confident this test will also sell out.

England is expected to have a full-strength side for the test. The late finish to the English club premiership may impact on the English team for the first test at Eden Park.
