There was a feast of try scoring in the second round of Dunedin club rugby today with the winning teams scoring 264 points and the losing teams 85.
Alhambra-Union started the scoring spree by running in 10 tries when they beat Pirates 74-10. First five-eighth Peter Breen scored two of the tries and also kicked 11 goals to score 34 points.
Southern was not far behind when it scored 10 tries in beating Green Island 68-0. Southern led 35 -0 at the break and added five more tries in the last 15 minutes.
Taieri scored six tries when they beat Zingari-Richmond 34-17 and Dunedin six when they downed the students 48-25. All Dunedin's tries were scored by the forwards.
First five-eighth Matt Te Tana was in fine touch and scored two of Kaikorai's tries and added another 16 points with his boot to amass 26 points.
