Crusaders coach Todd Blackadder has made five changes to his starting line-up for Sunday's Super Rugby match against the Bulls at Loftus Versfeld in Pretoria.

The Crusaders are coming off a dominant 57-14 win over the Cheetahs in Christchurch last week.

Blackadder has made two rotations in the front row, with prop Joe Moody and hooker Ben Funnell taking the starting spots this week in place of Wyatt Crockett and Codie Taylor, who are on the bench.

All Blacks skipper Richie McCaw returns to play this week on the openside flank, while Matt Todd will provide loose forward cover from the bench.

Dan Carter, who last week started at inside centre, returns to his more customary role in the No.10 jersey, meaning Tom Taylor will move out one and Colin Slade will make an impact from the reserves.

Crusaders: Israel Dagg, Kieron Fonotia, Ryan Crotty, Tom Taylor, Nemani Nadolo, Dan Carter, Andy Ellis, Kieran Read (capt), Richie McCaw, Jordan Taufua, Sam Whitelock, Luke Romano, Owen Franks, Ben Funnell, Joe Moody. Res: Codie Taylor, Wyatt Crockett, Nepo Laulala, Jimmy Tupou, Matt Todd, Mitchell Drummond, Colin Slade, David Havili.
