Christchurch police have interviewed a person over the racial abuse of a Canterbury rugby player.
Fiji-born Sake Aca came off the field in tears during the Hawkins Trophy final in July, after someone on the sideline yelled abuse about him and his family during a match against Lincoln University.
Police have confirmed they've spoken to a man they believe was one of the main instigators, and will be interviewing more people over the weekend.
