University A has retained the Jonathan Keogh Memorial with a 28-20 victory against Dunedin at Kettle Park.
Dunedin arguably had the better of the forward exchanges and tries either side of the break promised to set up a tight finish.
But University's potent back line struck from a wonderful set piece move midway through the second spell.
In other games, Harbour was reduced to 14 men early in the second half but held on to beat Alhambra-Union 34-19 at the North Ground.
Southern beat Taieri 29-13 at Bathgate Park, Zingari-Richmond thrashed Pirates 64-27 at Hancock Park and Kaikorai beat Green Island 38-17 at Miller Park.
