Black is Back. The All Blacks quarterfinal against France in Cardiff is off to a good start - they will wear their famous black uniform.

France had the sartorial advantage in the 2007 quarterfinal in Cardiff, leaving the All Blacks to lose the match while wearing an outfit generally described as a horrible grey.

A coin-toss system was used in 2007 to determine which teams wore alternate strips if their number one outfits clashes.

As pool winners in 2015, New Zealand gets to choose their outfit for the big day in Cardiff, an easy choice.

France - whose traditional jersey is blue - will wear their "away" red jersey. It will be the third game in a row the All Blacks face a team in red. A coin toss will be used to separate any jersey clashes after the quarterfinals.

Generous France won the jersey coin toss for the 2011 final at Eden Park, but allowed the All Blacks to wear black in what was described as a "mark of respect". France's alternate strip was white on that occasion.
