Crowds are flooding into the central city this afternoon as Dunedin gears up for tonight's test between the All Blacks and Wales at Forsyth Barr Stadium.

Around 2pm there were close to 1000 people already eating and drinking at establishments in and around the Octagon.

Despite the cold wind, the atmosphere is warm and jovial, with supporters of both teams mingling.

A Dunedin police spokesman said the crowds were very well behaved so far, and there had been no arrests.
