Rugby: Kaikorai, Alhambra stay unbeaten

Last year's champions Dunedin suffered their first loss of the season when beaten 22-15 by Kaikorai at Bishopscourt today.

The only unbeaten teams after four rounds of the Dunedin premier rugby competition are Kaikorai and Alhambra-Union, who share the lead for the Speight's Mug on 19 points.

They are followed by Dunedin 16, Taieri 15, Southern 13, University A 11, Zingari-Richmond 7, Harbour 6, Pirates and Green Island 0.

Cam Rutherford, in his 100th premier game for Kaikorai, kicked six goals and scored 17 points.

Alhambra-Union went on the rampage and scored nine tries to beat Green Island 57-3.

Lock Josh Dickson was in fine touch for University A when they beat Zingari-Richmond 32-14 at the University Oval.

Hayden Parker had is kicking boots on and landed three goals when Taieri beat Southern 18-14 at Bathgate Park.
