Rugby: Weather hits Dunedin club matches

Rugged weather conditions with rain and high winds caused all premier club rugby games to be called off early today.

But not before centre Kieran Moffat scored three tries when Taieri beat Zingari-Richmond 38-0 at Montecillo to keep its lead in the Gallaway Trophy.

Halfback Josh Walden scored two tries when Southern beat Green Island 46-10 at Bathgate Park.

Harbour was too strong in the forwards and beat Kaikorai 31-18 at Watson Park.

Varsity A beat Dunedin 32-5 and Alhambra-Union beat Pirates 44-10.

The scores were: Taieri 38, Zingari-Richmond 9; Southern 46, Green Island 10; Harbour 31, Kaikorai 18; Varsity A 32, Dunedin 5; Alhambra-Union 44 Pirates 10.
