Rugby: Ben Smith won't play in Crusaders clash

HIghlanders fullback and co-captain Ben Smith is out of Saturday's crunch game against the Crusaders.

Smith picked up an infection in his leg before the game against the Waratahs and was admitted to hospital straight after Sunday's game.

He spent three night in hospital in Sydney before returning to Dunedin yesterday.

His place in the Highlanders is expected to be taken by Trent Renata.
