Highlander and All Black winger Waisake Naholo's broken leg has been healed, according to a report in The Fiji Times.

Naholo, who made an impressive debut for the All Blacks against Argentina, was diagnosed with a cracked fibula after the match and was all but ruled out of next month's Rugby World Cup.

He was then contacted by his uncle, Isei Naiova, from his home village of Nadroumai, and given six days of traditional herbal treatment.

The Fiji Times online report says he had lost his limp and had begun doing light exercises.

Naholo was reported as saying he was on track to reclaim his spot in the All Blacks, if selected.

Naholo was initially treated in New Zealand and advised it would take three months for the injury to heal fully.

Mr Naiova said Naholo would be fit and ready before the World Cup, which begins in Britain on September 18.

He said his extended family, of which Naholo was also a member, had a special gift of healing broken bones.

"His injury is just minor.''

Mr Naiova said he had cured Naholo's injured knee in 2013.

Other leading Fijian rugby players have gone to Mr Naiova for treatment.

Naholo is due to return to New Zealand tomorrow.
