The Highlanders have signed promising winger Tevita Li for the 2017 season.

The 21-year-old has played for the Blues since 2013, making his debut against France while still at high school as an 18-year-old. He was a star for the New Zealand Under 20 side in 2014 and 2015, being a key player in claiming the world title last year.

A player with speed, power and an eye for a gap, Li is dangerous with ball in hand and should flourish in a Highlanders team capable of getting the ball to men in space.

Li will follow the likes of Waisake Naholo and Malakai Fekitoa, both of whom became stars after leaving the Blues to come south.
