Otago Paralympian Adam Hall has made a cracking start to the new year.

Hall claimed four gold medals at the IPC races held at Winter Park, Colorado, this week.

He swept the giant slalom, super combined and two super G races.

The races served as a curtain-raiser to the first IPC world cups of the season, starting with the round in La Molina, Spain, over the next three days.

The schedule in Spain originally included giant slalom races but had to be changed to slalom only, due to lack of snow.

Hall's national team-mate, sit-skier Corey Peters, is already in La Molina training for the world cup.

Peters, who won a silver medal in giant slalom at the Paralympic Winter Games in Sochi, said the absence of his stronger giant slalom event did him no favours but he was looking on the bright side.

''The plus is I have four opportunities to do well in the slalom,'' Peters said.

''We have made some good changes during training to improve my slalom so it's a good opportunity to see how it goes.''

The world cup rounds will also provide Hall and Peters with a performance benchmark as they prepare for the IPC alpine skiing world championships in Panorama, Canada, from February 28 to March 10.
