Softball: Two unbeaten sides left at champs

Local teams Parklands Christchurch United and Albion are the last remaining unbeaten sides at the open men's club softball championship in Christchurch.

But both teams had to work hard to maintain those records early today, coming from behind to defeat Johnsonville and Porirua, respectively.

Defending champions Auckland United kept their defence alive with a 10-0 result over crosstown rivals Marist, with final-eight spots in two of the four groups to be decided in the final round of pool games later today.
