Young Connor Fa'asega just had a great couple of days.

Connor, who is 11 and attends Tahuna Intermediate, was lucky enough to be invited up to the Sport for Life event in Auckland, hosted by the Harcourts Foundation.

The dinner was in aid of the Halberg Disability Sport Foundation and $113,000 was raised to help out those involved with the foundation.

Connor was one of the stars of the night and his father, Wayne, said it was a thrill for his son to attend the dinner.

Connor had come to the attention of the foundation after his sporting exploits were shown on a clip at the Halberg Sports awards at the start of this year.

Connor has cerebral palsy and leads an active life. He does swimming and skiing, tried yachting, and also takes part in budo, which is a form of martial arts for children like Connor.

Wayne Fa'asega said Connor had a positive attitude to everything he did and loved taking part in many things.

At last week's dinner in Auckland, he got to meet the likes of former Black Caps captain Stephen Fleming, New Zealand sevens coach Sir Gordon Tietjens and former Kangaroos and Warriors forward Steve Price.

Connor had loved the night out, and with his uncles living in Auckland, it was a great couple of days spent in the city of sails.
